In the first half of this show, the host, Tenzin Norbu, will give a general explanation of the two main methods used by Buddhists to cultivate Bodhicitta--the aspiration to become a Buddha for the benefit of all. Someone who has cultivated Bodhicitta is known as a Bodhisattva.  Individuals from a monotheistic tradition, such as Judaism, Christianity or Islam might be more comfortable calling this aspiration Godly Loving, naming the person who has cultivated this aspiration a Godly Lover and describing the goal as to become a Mystical Saint for the benefit of all.  The two methods for cultivating Bodhicitta are known as "exchanging self with others" and "the seven-fold cause and effect method."  Tenzin will give a detailed explanation of how to use the method of exchanging self and others.

In the second half of the show, Tenzin will interview Heather Maloney who is a musical performer and a practicing Buddhist. Several of Heather's songs from her cd, Time & Pocket Change, will be showcased and themes related to the Bodhisattva way of life will be discussed. Tenzin and Heather will talk about how listening to her music can play a role in the Bodhisattva way of life.

Listeners will have the opportunity to call in to comment on the theme of the show or ask Tenzin and Heather questions.
