While waiting in line at the historical Byrd Theatre in Richmond, Virginia, for an evening movie the other night, I had the pleasure of being entertained by the earthy street performance of Miss Leah Taub, a delightful singer-songwriter from Charlotte, North Carolina, who is attending the University of North Carolina. This summer, Leah ditched her small town to see the nation and has traveled around the country, from Seattle, Washington, to Boston, Massachusetts, busking in the honor of such classic performers as Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. To fund her trip, she did what she does best: perform. So far, Leah has traveled to over ten different cities, and her street performances have earned her enough for meals, transportation, and lodging while sharing her engaging artistry of song and guitar. Here at “The REALLY, Real, Deal” we applaud Leah for sharing her talents as her ticket to seeing this great nation, and feature her, this week, as one of the people and things that makes America great! Get in on the conversation with Leah Taub, and meet this charming musician, or grab the conversation on-demand and share with a friend.
