Political Spotlight on New Mexico: Janice Arnold Jones (R), Kent Cravens (R), Dianna Duran (R)

The political spotlight continues with Janice Arnold-Jones, gubernatorial candidate & State Representative. Arnold-Jones began her career in public service when she was elected to serve as Vice President of the Associated Students at the University of New Mexico, where she was instrumental in launching New Mexico’s Criminal Sexual Conduct Legislation. Janice has owned and operated her own successful small business, and was instrumental in growing the Albuquerque office of Parallax, Inc. from only two people into a thriving enterprise with 22 team members and contracts in excess of $11 million. Janice is running for Governor to bring a new and smarter economy to New Mexico; to connect the state's vast natural, human and technical resources, and to transform the state into a state that excels – not one that fails. Then Kent Cravens (R), sits in with us, and talks abuut seeking the coveted seat of incumbent, Lt. Governor, Diane Denish (D). Mr. Cravens is a successful New Mexico small business owner, and a three-term Republican State Senator in the New Mexico Legislature. As a Senator, Kent has fought hard for the principles of limited government and controlling government spending. Kent has sponsored the Taxpayer Protection Act, legislation that ties state spending to population growth and other economic factors that will keep spending in line with the New Mexico’s tax revenue and economic climate. Kent is running for Lt. Governor because he believes the agenda coming from Santa Fe is unhealthy for the state's economy, communities, and individual prosperity. Kent wants to bring government back to the people to solve the big problems that are facing New Mexico. On a final front, we'll hear from Dianna Duran (R), a New Mexico State Senator, former Deputy County Clerk and 1998 nominee, and the unopposed 2010 candidate for secretary of state.
