Despite your best efforts at diligently filing proper tax returns, the IRS can audit your tax returns and Robert McKenzie is a tax attorney who can help sort out the mess. Sometimes the audit results are worse than expected and other times with proper representation the process can be least intrusive. In this episode of Law Talk Radio we examine tax law from several perspectives.

Topics covered on this show – just a taste: 1) Red flags and how to back up your return so red flag doesn’t prompt an audit; 2) First steps to take upon receipt of an audit notification, and how to make a plan; 3) The IRS review procedure and what most audited taxpayers can expect; 4) Representation before the IRS and courts when things are not going well.

Robert E. McKenzie is a partner of the law firm of Arnstein & Lehr LLP of Chicago, Illinois, concentrating his practice in representation before the Internal Revenue Service and state agencies. He has lectured extensively on the subject of taxation. He has presented courses before thousands of CPA’s, attorneys and enrolled agents nationwide.
