Most people are familiar with the term daddy issues.  It refers to a woman who grows up without a father in the home.  As a result, she may date much older men.  It is assumed her dating strategy is a way to fill the void of not having a father in her life.  At the same time, is it possible for a woman from a healthy two parent home to still have daddy issues?

On the surface, it may sound odd to make the claim a woman who grew up with her father in the home can still have daddy issues.  However, after listening to many women describe what they expect from their love interest, it sounds as though many females have not acquired the ability to separate their dates from their father.  Yes, we all know her father is the first man in her life.  Nevertheless, many women have confusion about love from their father.  If she is dating a man, she will require him to express love exactly the way her father did.  Instead of getting to know her love interest as the man he is, she only seeks the man who is exactly like her father.

This strategy closes the door on most men.  If a man reminds her of her father, it is like she demands you play the same role as her father.  When you don’t, she is disappointed.  That often leads to divorce.  And the man never knew what hit him.

If we dig deeper, it gets uglier.  Let’s open this can of worms Straight Talk style.
