Here in this teaching by Jesus is an illustration of His expectation concerning the [actual] service that we are to perform in His name. Scripture is to interpret Scripture - hence, Mathew 7:21-23, is a refernce scripture for additional understanding and proper perspective of the fruit that Christ expects from those whom call Him Lord. ( In that regard, a sober thought is how we live our lives is indicative of our [true] relationship. Here, in this passage, we are given a thought-provoking snapshot into the mind of God -by Christ. Nobleman, Kingdom, Servants, Talent...what does it all mean?
The bible is a book that requires our attention, investigation, and attentive thought. Let's take an intelligent look into the Word of God with the intention of objective interpretation that turns learning into [fruitful] living.
