The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. (Romans 1:18-20)

No matter how we may attempt to interpret this passage, if nothing else it's clear God has concluded that He is known. Remember, we must always not forget that God is:

  1. Love (1 John 4:8)
  2. The Creator of all things (seen and unseen) (John 1:3)
  3. His ways are perfect (Psalms 18:30)
  4. Not a man that he should - or could - lie (Numbers 23:19)

Let's just suppose that this Scripture is true - since they are the Word of God and he says He can't lie. What is the Lord "really" saying in these Roman passages? How are we to come to understand it? How should it affect our lives?

Let's take a careful look at what else the Word of God reveals concerning this matter so that we may have a right understanding of Scripture, and a better understanding of God.
