Joseph Rogers is executive director of the National Mental Health Consumers’ Self-Help Clearinghouse and chief advocacy officer of the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania (MHASP).  To Call in Number 267 521 0167 His vision and leadership are responsible for building MHASP from a small regional advocacy agency into a large multi-faceted provider of advocacy and peer-to-peer services; and he served as MHASP’s president and CEO from 1997 to 2007. He has testified before U.S. Senate committees; has consulted locally, nationally and internationally; and has chaired and/or served on numerous boards and committees. A national leader of the c/s/x movement, he has won numerous awards, including the prestigious 2005 Heinz Award for the Human Condition. He has made many keynote and other presentations at a wide variety of national, statewide, regional, and local conferences; and he has appeared on television and radio and has been interviewed in the print media to fight the prejudice and discrimination associated with mental health conditions.
