People living in Mossville, Louisiana are getting sick and are dying because of the chemical plants that surround their community. Michele Roberts, Campaign & Policy Coordinator of Advocates for Environmental Human Rights, will tell us about the challenges that the people of Mossville have been dealing with on a daily basis for years. The Mossville citizens have worked hard to organize as a community in order to stand up against these powerful chemical corporations that have contaminated the land and the air. They have had to contend with a toxic environment, Katrina and now the the tragic Gulf of Mexico oil disaster. Assisted by Advocates for Environmental human Rights and other concerned people they have been standing strong for their rights and for the future generation.
