Join our dialogue with Strong Woman, Julianne Jennings, a Nottoway Native of Virginia, currently living in Rhode Island; an adjunct professor At Pima Community College in Tuscon AZ; author, artist singer. She is a catalyst for an effort to initiate Prayer Circles for Mother Earth throughout America. Southern New England Indian leaders and their people are answering the Cry of Mother Earth and have joined together in "A Prayer for Mother Earth" ceremony. The ceremony is in response to the continuing Deepwater Horizon oil disaster that is ravaging the Gulf of Mexico and destroying the way of life for Indigenous people and practically all who depend on the Gulf for their existence. As First Nation People we have been assigned by the Creator as the original STEWARDS OF THE EARTH. By offering prayers in unified healing circles we can help reduce stress, restore hope and clarity mind and initiate a process to transform our way of being. We must restore infinite balance - The Law of Karma - and once again walk gently on Mother Earth. The Fate of the Seven Generations to come cannot be cursed by our addictions, greed, indifference, complacence and complicity.
