Interview Debora Pokallus: Bel Esprit & Ethical Fashion

Charlotte Howard and The Hair Artist Association,LLC team is honored to have Debora Pokallus join them on today's radio show. 

Debora Pokallus has spent nearly 30 years in the fashion industry.  She began her career as a costume designer for regional and off-broadway productions, and then launched a fashion collection based on her costuming experiences.  In addition to designing and manufacturing her own collection, she also worked with textile designers in joint ventures to create innovative apparel with hand-painted fabrics. Many years of promoting and marketing an independent collection gave Debora a wealth of knowledge about the obstacles facing young designers and an intimate understanding of how the industry works.  Debora moved out of fashion design and into the business or promoting and marketing independent fashion collections, as well as consulting on a variety of topics to help young designers break into the fashion industry.
