Cynthia Garnholz, attorney at The Center for Family Law in St. Louis, talks to us about addressing maintenance in a divorce case. Maintenance, also known as alimony or spousal support, can be considered when a divorcing couple meets certain criteria. Host Jennifer Rench is also a family law attorney and mediator in St. Louis, and together Jennifer and Cynthia discuss maintenance considerations and when maintenance may be appropriate.

Cynthia also shares how much maintenance you can expect to pay or receive and for how long. Addressing maintenance in a divorce case can be challenging for both the paying party and receiving party so it is important to clarify the considerations surrounding maintenance to resolve that divorce issue.
