 Dr. Quanda DeChenye D.Min

 

Is an ordained minister with 25 years serving “the least of these” in various life situations Clinically trained with Emory Healthcare in pastoral care and counseling, she has over 18 years, experience in chaplaincy. She has served professionally in hospice, hospitals, prisons, and homeless shelters. She is a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, GA. She also studied at the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Institute at Bossey, Switzerland.

She has diverse experience in the ministry and has served in Europe, Africa, Asia, Central America and the Caribbean. She co-founded the Bethesda Institute of Ministry through which ministers trained and received their credentials for ordination. For over a decade, she developed and conducted specialized faith-based HIV prevention education programs making her a resource person for many AIDS agencies in Atlanta. She has also developed life development programs including:

“Balancing Acts” – Achieving balance in Mind, Body, Spirit and Life and “The Third Quarter” – Managing Life Changes After 40

Dr. Quanda DeChenye is a nationally published author and has been featured in several publications including Essence magazine. She is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s who in American Colleges and Universities. She has also received several awards and recognitions from national professional organizations.
