Youth face many challenges when they return to their communities after experiencing an out-of-home placement due to juvenile justice system contact. While Ohio's juvenile justice system has changed dramatically during the past decade, recidivism rates remain high and efforts to help youth transition back into their communities are insufficient. On this episode, guests will discuss  reentry and the role of systems and community in that venture. Guests will also talk about  the types of issues youth face, the impact of these struggles on their well-being,  and what supports can help these young adults transition successfully both back into their communities and from kids  into adults.

Guests:

Monnie Bush,  Founder & C.E.O., The Victory Project

Nathan  Lynch MSW LISW-S,  Program Director,  Community Management Program, Lighthouse Youth Services

Eric Shafer, Assistant Court Administrator, Montgomery County Juvenile Court
