Critically acclaimed writer and performer, Nikki Patin, has appeared on HBO's Def Poetry Jam, WBEZ and New Zealand's TV3 and Radio New Zealand. In 2014, she addressed the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland on behalf of Black female survivors of sexual violence. In 2015, Nikki Patin received her MFA in Creative Non-Fiction/Poetry from the University of Southern Maine. Her band, Like A Hundred, is currently recording their next project, Damn, I Love My Face. Nikki Patin is the Executive Director of Surviving the Mic (www.survivingthemic.org), a collaborative organization of survivors who are dedicated to creating safe and affirming creative spaces for survivors of trauma.
