We're putting our feet up this week and having an old fashioned 'skull session' with noted sports psychologist, John F. Murray. What we want to focus on with him is the dynamics of how doubt, setbacks and criticism impact the public perception of performance and the personal identity of the athletes in these real-life dramas. We'll take a closer look at the way an athlete overcomes failure, injury, and even skepticism about success. Of course we use my Mets as a case study of any/all of those. But we'll also touch on some of recent scandals in the news like the Steve McNair murder-suicide, the litany of NFL drug/violence/guns cases, and the soft parade of outed MLB PED users like Manny and A-Rod. With the British Open starting on THURS, we'll look at both Tiger and Phil's years off the 'field'. Dr. Murray recently attended Wimbledon, so we want to get his insights on both the men's and women's finals. You can get to know his work on JOHNFMURRAY.COM - Meantime, make this show your hour.
