Get the solution call in. Problem. Job killing tax increases, wasteful government spending, and the taxpayer-funded bailouts of irresponsible banks, insurance companies and automobile makers; these are the liberal tax and spend policies being forced upon us by President Barack Obama, and liberals in Congress, that have led to record budget deficits, a $12 trillion national debt and the highest unemployment rates in 26 years. Problem. Like tens of thousands of Tennesseans, starting my own business was a dream come true, made even better when we were able to open a second office. But the all out assault on small business being led by President Barack Obama and liberals in Congress is turning that dream into a nightmare for small business men and women throughout our state. More specifically, higher taxes, excessive government regulation and endless bureaucratic red tape is strangulates innovation, suffocates expansion and kills off the jobs we have and those that could have been created. Problem. Emboldened by the election of President Barack Obama, liberal House Speaker Nancy Pelosi forced through Congress a so-called health care ‘reform’ bill that paved the way for the federal government to takeover 1/6th of our nation’s economy. Speaker Pelosi’s health care ‘reform’ bill created $700 billion in new taxes, cut Medicare by $400 billion and did nothing to make it harder for illegal aliens to receive taxpayer funded health care. Problem. President Barack Obama and San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi are running rough shod over our conservative Tennessee values with, for example, their efforts to provide for taxpayer funded abortions and taxpayer funded health care for illegal aliens in their so called health care ‘reform’ bills.
