Are you tired of the creamy crack & would like to go natural? Well tonight we will discuss the proper way to transition & give you the products that's best to use. Join me as I talk with Maria of Twist and Curves. Maria Thompson has been a Licensed Cosmetologist and an Artistic Afrocentric Braid Designer/Instructor for the past 30 years. Maria has been a creative influence as the industry has evolved with a wide range of techniques and styles to meet the needs of a growing and diverse customer base. Maria specializes in elegant styles for the busy woman on the run. Her styles are designed to take 2-3 hrs, to create and 15 mins. To 1 hr to take out. Women today are on the go and do not want to spend eight hours in a chair getting their hair braided. Maria has developed a line of styles for women that can be worn to work, regardless of their professional position. In addition, her styles are flexible for vacations, social events and everyday living. As a way of sharing her knowledge and new techniques with experienced and inexperienced Braiders, she has been very active in conducting workshops in the United States and in London, England. She has also given seminars at the Afro Hair & Beauty Show in London, and an instructor with Taliah Waajid at the Natural Hair & Beauty Show in Atlanta for the past four years. Maria's work has graced the cover of Modern Braids Magazine, and her creative styles have been featured in publications in the US, London and Paris. She writes a question & answer column for Blacktress Braids & More magazine.
