The world is very addicted. This is easy to see in the United States. Not only do the statistics of those addicted to alcohol, drugs, sexual behaviors, over-eating, and nicotine confirm this, but so many are filled with fear and terror and other self-destructive behaviors. Pride, the need to be incontrol and self righteousness are just a few of the attitudes that are not addictions, but act like addictions and keep people running on the treadmill of life, thinking there is no way off.
