Power and Purpose: A Purpose Free From Distraction

Excerpt from "Order My Steps" by Rev. Cheryl Merchant:

Guard Your Mind:  You must stay focused on your purpose.  The only way to do so is to keep your mind free of distractions.  This is accomplished through the study fo God's word.  Filling your mind with foolish and ungodly thoughts will cause major distractions.  The Apostle Paul admonishes us to think positive, Godly thoughts.  He writes, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good reoprt; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Phil. 4:8)
