Roberto Moran has served as the Director of The Doe Fund's Veterans Program since 2010.  In that capacity, he oversees the provision of the program to 138 former servicemen every day, with the support of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the NYC Department of Homeless Services, as well as several private funders. Half of the participants take part in Ready, Willing & Able, The Doe Fund's renowned workforce development initiative for homeless and formerly incarcerated individuals.  The other half receive comprehensive services that help them live as independently as possible.

Prior to joining The Doe Fund, Moran spent four years in leadership positions at Getting Out and Staying Out, an organization serving formerly incarcerated youth which he helped launch in 2006.  He also brings several years of experience in education and legislation, and is himself a veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard, from which he was Honorably Discharged in 1997.  Moran holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where he also completed the requirements for a Masters in Public Administration.
