To clip or not to clip

When you use a toe basket they say you are clipped in and yet when you are truly clipped in, they call it clipless.  I feel like I am in a bit from George Carlin.  Tonight we are going to talk about being clipped in, gloves or no gloves and the great ongoing debate about helmet or no helmet in any sport and what about mirrors?
