Bugging in, Bugging out Tonight we are going to discuss some of the reasons for bugging in and bugging out. Description and discussion, Bugging in involves planning and preparing to stay in place, where ever that might be. Bugging out would be more detailed, because of the logistics and packing and planning the basic necessary items needed for comfort. This would make bugging in a more desired option, due to ease, and the amount of comforts already in place. My thoughts on bugging in, you are already living there, so I would assume you’re already bugged in. But some of the comforts enjoyed might range from familiarity to the ability to store more food stocks and offers the convenience of more modern equipment and amenities. More progressive alternate power sources and the ability to maintain the use of modern appliances will make a longer stay increasingly livable. Some reasons for bugging out flood zone earth quakes, mud slides, fires, tornadoes, planes, trains, nuke plants etc, and of course when bugging out, you have to consider terrain, nature obstacles, and whatever man made ones occur, mechanical problems should also be a part of our back up plan, we found one of our group close to us and will go there. we figure it will take at least a day to walk it safely through the terrain we'll need to follow., fording during floods So bottom line as you prepare to bug in, I personally think you should also prepare to bug out.
