On December 25TH in Dayton Ohio a star was born to the name of Charlesetta. She was raised by her mother, Joselane Schere Berry, a classic pianist, and father, Rev. Charles W. Fair a legendary Gospel singer. Her father was on the label, United Artist. He would bring home the latest albums featuring the famous Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson and Natalie Cole for Charlie to sing along with.

Age 10 Charlie picked up the saxophone. She started working at the “Forum night club” on Friday and Saturdays nights, as a coat check girl.

Charlie’s mother gave her a tape recorder and she started recording herself singing Michael Jackson tunes. When her mother heard her amazing voice she knew was ready to move forward.  Her mother taught her how to protect her voice.  A star was born.

Charlie toured with her father's traveling revival show performing on weekends.  At 18 years old, Charlie's first paying gig was her Uncles Club “The Jazz Central”.

In October of 1991 Charlie started the “Band Complex”, with her ex-husband Craig Robinson.  The rhythm-and-blues duo became known for an electrifying show.

April 16th 2012, she received opportunity to become mentored by Marshall Jones.   In October 2016 She won two VMA awards; Best R&B and Best Urban female Vocalist. She started touring her band New Roc City with Norman Connors. Today she is Releasing a CD and preparing to win LA and Las Vegas music awards.
