Karl Morgan, MVSU Head Football Coach
Veteran collegiate coach and former UCLA standout Karl Morgan is in his third season as the leader of the Mississippi Valley State football program.  He was introduced as the 15th head coach at Mississippi Valley State University on January 11, 2010.  He came to MVSU after serving five seasons as the defensive coordinator at the University of North Alabama.
In his two seasons at the helm at MVSU, the Delta Devils have gone 1-20, but have continued to improve under Morgan. In 2011, Valley finished sixth in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) in total defense and rushing offense.

Donald Sims, MVSU Interim Director of Athletics
In July, 2007 Donald Sims was named Interim Director of Athletics at Mississippi Valley State University. A veteran of over 20 years at MVSU Sims goals continue to be creating the best atmosphere for student-athlete achievements while representing MVSU on the playing field, in the classroom and in the community. Sims, a native of Indianola, MS and 1985 Mississippi Valley State University alum, got his start in athletics while attending Texas Southern University in 1981-82, working as a student worker in the athletics director’s office. Now a resident of Greenville, MS Sims, 43, heads into his 24th year of loyal service to his alma mater after earning both his bachelor’s and his master’s degrees from MVSU, the latter in 1997.
