DR. DENISHA HENDRICKS
KSU Director of Athletics

Dr. Denisha L. Hendricks, entering her third year as Director of Athletics at Kentucky State University, is responsible for the oversight of 13 intercollegiate athletic teams and brings with her a plethora of athletic and teaching experience.

Before coming to KSU, Hendricks served as Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator at Johnson C. Smith University where she oversaw internal operations of the athletic department, including compliance, academics, sports medicine, facilities and game operations. She also managed women’s sports and served as interim chair of the Department of Health and Human Performance and Assistant Professor of Physical Education/ Sport Management.

WAYNE DICKENS
KSU Head Football Coach

Wayne Dickens, after completing his first season at Kentucky State University as Wide Receiver Coach in 2008 and after taking the helm as Interim Head Coach in 2009, now serves as the Head Coach for the Thorobreds in 2010. With over 30 years of experience and a full season to implement his system, Dickens is poised for a success season.

In 2005 & 2006, Dickens served as the Western Region Scout for the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the Canadian Football League and was responsible for evaluating collegiate and professional athletes for prospective contracts with the Canadian team.
