What if Segment: So along with trap music, the most popular effect used in hip-hop nowadays is Auto-tune. A plug-in processor that’s used to help singer sound good. Rappers in the new school have been using this technique as well but for rapping, Lil Wayne being the 1st…but no the last. But “What if” there was no such thing as Auto-tune? This effect was 1st used by Cher and then t-pain and it sky rocketed to the top. Where would music be and what would be different if this plug-in didn’t exist? D.O.A. or no we keeping it??? Engineer’s Corner: A segment used to put the eyes on the engineer/producer. I have Engineer/Producer Chris “Maxx” Pinset coming in today. He has a tight resume from working with the likes of KRS-ONE, Black Rob, Camron, Redman, Jim Jones, Jermaine Paul and so many more. So I will be picking the brain of this great artist of sound. He also has his right hand “Lamar A Moore”, Drummer exstaordinaire. He will be giving his 2 cents on the whole drumming game…
