Julia Ross

Julia Ross, MA, MFT, NNTS, is a pioneer in the field of nutrition as it impacts mood, behavior, and addiction. She is the author of two best sellers: The Diet Cure (Penguin 2012) and The Mood Cure (Penguin 2004). Trained and licensed as a psychotherapist, she has founded and directed six innovative outpatient programs for the treatment of mood problems, addictions, and eating disorders in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1980. She introduced amino acid therapy and other integrative therapies into her programs in 1988 at the Recovery Systems Clinic in Mill Valley, California, and saw her programs’ success rates soar as a result, with nearly 4000 clients experiencing its benefits by the time it closed in 2014.

Ross’ new Virtual Clinic for Food Cravers was inaugurated this year to provide readily accessed help for those suffering from the greatest dietary crisis of all time: junk food addiction. Julia Ross’ brain-targeted nutritional therapies have been featured frequently on radio and television and in publications ranging from the Journal of Molecular Psychiatry to Vogue. She lectures internationally and has taught at several Bay Area universities. Ross also provides consultation and training throughout the U.S. to health professionals and created a formal certification program for those interested in becoming Neuro-nutrient Therapy Specialists.
