Ep. 69 - Road Trip Wrap-up with Author Matt Silverman

Their guest today is author Matt Silverman, who has written a number of books, most recently Swinging '73: Baseball's Wildest Season. His Mets literary tenacity includes New York Mets: The Complete Illustrated History and 100 Things Mets Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die. Clearly, his Mets acumen as well as baseball acumen will fit in perfectly over the course of the episode.

Today, we will discuss the winning road trip that "propelled" the team to an overall winning record of 8-7 going into a tough home stretch against the Braves, the Cardinals and the Marlins. We will also discuss the 1969 season with no one in the team's history to ever wear the number on their uniform.
