The Rising Apple Report has amazin'ly reached its 60th episode! Sam Maxwell hosts, with Danny Abriano and Rich Sparago joining for the best half-hour of Mets talk on the internet airwaves!

Jon Niese, who everyone speculated would start Opening Day once more, was sent back to NY for a precautionary MRI. Though it seems just that, precautionary, the letters M, R, and I put together never have a positive connotation. We'll discuss what ramifications this could have on the rotation going forward.

Shortstop, shortstop, shortstop, Stephen Drew, shortstop, shortstop, Nick Franklin, shortstop shortstop Ruben Tejada Shortstop shortstopjosereyesshortstop, shortstop shortstop Wilmer Flores shortstop shortstop shortstop shortSTOP!

It was reported this week by Mike Puma of the New York Post that Ike Davis hid an oblique injury last year prior to being sent down. Ike got real upset at Mr. Puma, and apparently went off on him in the Port St. Lucie parking lot, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York (ironically, Media Training Day was the next morning!) What to discuss regarding this matter?...I don't know, but we'll think a somethin' by then!

And of course, we'll discuss the "prestigious" list that are the players to wear number 60 in the history of the New York Mets.

So, join us at 6:30PM ET for the latest edition of the Rising Apple Report!
