JIMMY CARTER quits church because they "use Bible to subjugate women."  Does Bible teach women are to be subservient to men? Is this healthy?  Richard & comic Brooke Arnold debate woman-hating fundamentalist Rev. Daniel Hyles, head of B.O.W. (BIBLICALLY OBEDIENT WOMEN).  Callers include an apostolic female preacher, a transgender woman, a Hollywood actress, & an agnostic.  Hyles is "dedicated to change women's roles back to 'obedient wives.'"  Hyles comments on President Carter's decision today to leave the Southern Baptists.  "B.O.W. stands for 'Biblically Obedient Women," Hyles says.  "Women are to submit to man as unto God, & call him 'Lord,' as Sara did Abraham.  Carter is headed for hell unless he returns to teaching the Word that women must bow."

President Carter's statement that will be discussed on show reads as follows:"Women & girls have been discriminated against for too long in a twisted interpretation of the word of God.  The convention's leaders, quoting a few carefully selected verses & claiming Eve was created second to Adam & was responsible for original sin, ordained that women must be "subservient" to their husbands & prohibited from serving as deacons, pastors or chaplains in military service."
