You are invited to share in a candid discussion about what God is doing in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area from the perspective of Rev. Ricky Creech, Executive Director/Minister of the District of Columbia Baptist Convention.

Rev. Creech began his tenure as Executive Director/Minister of the DC Baptist Convention in April 2011. He has a passion for social justice and is an advocate for missional partnerships. Since 1998 he has coordinated international and national disaster relief efforts, including Honduras after Hurricane Mitch, at Ground Zero in New York after Sept. 11th, and Sumatra after the Tsunami.

During his tenure with DC Baptist Convention Rev. Creech designed and implemented the first faith-based Emergency Response Team in the national capital region and has formed ties with the American Red Cross, VOAD, DC Metro Police Department and DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency; led the Convention in the Journey of 180 to write the future story of DCBC; appointed to the position of Commissioner for National and Community Service by Mayor Vincent Gray, and began laying a foundation for the Convention to become a major stakeholder in community transformation. 

Heralded for his leadership as a change agent and community organizer, Rev. Creech is a graduate of Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, KY and Furman University in Greenville, SC. He is married and has three adult daughters.
