Samantha wrote and directed the short film "In Memory of Me" which screened in over 40 film festivals and won awards including Best Performance, Best Female Director and Best Short. Currently she is seeking funding and a producing partner for the feature version of that film which she also plans to direct. Samantha has directed two other films to date, winning several awards for both filmmaking and writing. Most recently she directed a PSA on Marriage Equality which was shown on NBC LA, Outfest and won the People's Choice Award in a national PSA competition. She is a member of the Director’s Guild of America and has worked as an assistant director on many projects including "Scrubs," “People I Know,” “Wet Hot American Summer,” “CSI: NY,” and “Law & Order: SVU.” Samantha graduated from Purchase College with a degree in Drama Studies. From there she founded the first gay and lesbian theater company in Westchester, NY and went on to direct and perform in its improvisational comedy group, as well as its main stage productions. Her writing has won recognition at competitions including Outfest, Moondance, Scriptapalooza and American Accolades. She was also a writer on the TV show “Cinematherapy” and has produced international promo’s for E! Entertainment and The Style networks.
