SEKEM is an organization founded in 1977 by the Egyptian pharmacologist and social entrepreneur Dr. Ibrahim Abouleish in order to bring about cultural renewal in Egypt on a sustainable basis. With a combination of many different food and agricultural initiatives based on Biodynamic farming practices, SEKEM shows that agriculture and social renewal can not only be sustainable, but also profitable. Mr. Bijan Kafi the Public Relations coordinator for the European Office of the SEKEM Group joins the program to talk about the many different programs and practices that make up this inspiring collaborative organization in Egypt.
