Today on "Ask the Theologian," Dispenational Publishing House editor in chief Paul Scharf fills in for Dr. Randy White.

We will be looking at wisdom principles from the life of Daniel that we can apply to our lives in the 21st century—and also sharing a few thoughts about Thanksgiving—here on today's program.

These are examples of some of the topics that we will consider:

  • We begin with a few thoughts about the holiday that we celebrate this week (Thanksgiving) and the people who initially gave us that holiday (the Pilgrims).
  • Then we consider the question of why we should study the prophet Daniel as a model of how to live in our circumstances today.
  • What unique position was Daniel in with regard to the Law of Moses?
  • What does the Bible say about the wisdom of Daniel?
  • How does Daniel's role as a prophet fit into this theme?
  • What did Jesus say about Daniel?
  • How did God use and bless Daniel, and how does this lead us to apply his example in our lives?

We pray that you will have a wonderful and meaningful Thanksgiving holiday—and we trust that today's program will add to its significance.
