Join me Monday, November 19th at 6 p.m. Pacific/9 Eastern on Radio Enso for the return of Jodi Ettenberg of Legal Nomads! Jodi is former lawyer currently writing, photographing, and eating her way around the world, one country at a time. She recently published her first book, the Food Traveler’s Handbook, which we’ll talk about at length in this inspiring episode!

About Jodi: Originally from Montreal, I quit my job as a lawyer to travel for what I thought was a year, and almost five years later I’m working as a full-time travel writer and photographer. All of the writing recently culminated in my first book.

Since I left my job in early 2008, I’ve been writing about my worldwide travel, transportation misadventures and delicious food on my site, Legal Nomads. I get the shakes when I go too long without eating sticky rice.

The Food Traveler’s Handbook offers:
  • How to discover the world through food.
  • Delicious stories to learn from.
  • How to use food-specific themes to plan long and short-term trips.
  • Ways to source cheap, safe meals in developing countries.
  • Tips and tricks from chefs, food writers and long-term travellers.
  • Ethical considerations when eating in far-flung destinations.
  • Guidelines tailored to travelers with special dietary needs such as food allergies (celiac disease, nut allergies, etc), vegetarians.
  • Packing, planning and learning resources for the food traveler.
