At the start of the 1990s, she left her job as a corporate manager to become an entrepreneur. By the mid-90s, she'd focused on technical training, bridging her backgrounds in computer science, neuropsychology, and writing. As big clients started looking for single-vendor solutions, she created a consortium of trainers and developers by providing contract management through her company. As individual contracts became scarce, this background income supported her while she retrained as an Awakening Coach. Karen has shifted from a focus on computer technology itself during her corporate manager days, to a focus on how people learn and what they need to be successful with that technology during her trainer days, to what brings success and fulfillment for people in life itself.
