Vic Tomlinson
I was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia.
I graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature.
I have a Master of Public Administration Degree from Penn State University.
I worked as a budget analyst for the Commonwealth of Virginia and Henrico County, Virginia.
I spent most of my career in public health as a public health advisor with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in sexually transmitted diseases, tuberculosis control and immunizations. I retired with 30 plus years of federal service in December, 2011.
Since I retired, I have written and published two action-thriller novels and a recent book of poetry on Amazon. The book of poetry is “An Odyssey of Love, Nature & Life.” It consists of 40 poems. Although it has only been on the market since the latter part of May, it has received 10 five-star reviews. I hope to publish another book of poetry by the end of this year or early in 2017.
My wife, Susan, and I moved from Atlanta to Austin in March, 2012 to be near our daughter and our two grandchildren. My wife and I enjoy walking in the area, listening to music, eating the barbecue, burgers, and great tacos that Austin offers, and spending time with family and friends.
