There is nothing worse than being a child in a home where violence and hatred are rife and
no one will listen. How does a child overcome adversity? How does a young woman grow
into adulthood and create a better life for herself while living extremes, suffering abuse,
loss, and sadness yet still hang on to hope that life will improve?
Amanda Hart reviews her life’s journey in The Guys Upstairs as she pursues her vision to
help people overcome traumas, failings, and self-doubt to build a life that is fulfilling,
balanced and rewarding. Having to fend off violence and fight against life-threatening illness
caused her to dive deep where she discovered a faith and guidance that prompted her
discovery of a deeper more meaningful way of living.
The Guys Upstairs introduces Amanda and her positive message of being able to take
responsibility for your life and change it for the better. Airy-fairy it isn’t, but her firm faith in
receiving spiritual inspiration from her ‘angels’, prompts her to humorously refer to them as
‘The Guys Upstairs’.
In today’s world where greater transparency reveals horrors and tales of abuse rear their
head daily through media and social media, it challenges each of us not to shy away from
injustices on our own doorstep, take responsibility for our own actions and how we treat our
loved ones and fellow citizens. This is what prompted Amanda Hart to share her story and
the journey she took through failed relationships, diverse career choices, and a family life
where she had to fight for custody of her children.
Amanda’s life became a kaleidoscope of spiritually.
