This is Jeanette Purkis' radio show where she talks with guests about all things Autism. Jeanette is an author, public speaker, artist, advocate, risk manager and human mum to Mr Kitty. This show is a place to discuss all issues and thoughts around living well, navigating the world and generally being Awesome and Autistic.
On this week's show, Jeanette speaks with UK-based professional Autism advocate Sarah Scrimshaw. Sarah is also one of the crew at Positively Autistic. The conversation ranges from advoacy matters, the need for Autism education, understanding meltdowns, valuing oneself, supporting one another and recommending some good TV shows about Autism. Join Jeanette and Sarah for their conversation. Please note: This is a prerecorded show so you cannot call in. Also, the show is the first time Jeanette has prerecordded using audio software. In the frst five minutes of the show, Sarah is rather quiet. However, this issue was addressed quite quickly and Sarah's voice is at a louder volume for most of the show.
