Carole Harris Barton, wife, mother, and grandmother, is retired from a career in public service with local government in Fairfax County, Virginia.
She is the author of two books. When God Gets Physical is an inspiring collection of true stories about people who heard God’s voice, felt his touch, or saw a sign of his presence.
Rainbows in Coal Countryis a memoir about her childhood adventures at the coalmine where her father worked in Madisonville, Kentucky.
In 2012, Carole’s nonfiction piece, “Them People,” won the Grand Prize for creative writing at HereWomenTalk.com. Her writings have appeared in Sunscripts, a publication of the University of South Florida Writer’s School, Kentucky Humanities magazine, and in Tim Russert’s Wisdom of Our Fathers.
Carole lives with her husband, Paul, in Clearwater, Florida, where she is active in church and music groups.
