Mary and her husband, Dave Ellis run an advertising agency, Affinity Marketing & Communications, Inc. which was established in 1999 in Palm Harbor, Florida. An English major, Mary handles the “communications” end of it, implementing all public relations projects, copywriting, editing and social media.

On June 21, 2009, her life took a tragic turn when her beloved first-born daughter, Tanya, was killed while a passenger in a single car crash at the age of 24. She was a college graduate and an amazing artist who had traveled much of third-world countries with only a backpack, paper and a pen.

Fearful that her daughter might be forgotten, Mary self-published a full-color book in an effort to forever archive the last few years of Tanya's extraordinary life. This anthology contains poetry and prose from her travel journals and over 126 images of her artwork. To continue her legacy, she is using all available resources to promote Tanya’s works through Non-Local Flow: Good Chi, The Sea and Me.

The book has a secure online store and includes note cards that contain 16 different images of some of Tanya's most popular paintings: www.NonLocalFlow.com
