One of the main purposes of the Peace Day Global Broadcast is to hihglight technology of the emerging Information Age, and bring attention to the 8 Millennium Development Goals, the specific targets of the goals, and the work of the Millennium Campaign. We will livestream portions of the September 18 Stand Up events, and the MDG Review Summit taking place September 20-22nd in New York.

This interactive event features live feeds from celebrations worldwide, the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs),  sustainable solutions for achieving the Goals. We intermix entertainment and educational segmentswith Pillar of Peace Awards to honor organizations and individuals working to achieve the MDGs, promote peace, human rights and sustainable development.
