December 15, 2014 should go down as the day when criminal injustice reigned supreme. Rev. Edward Pinkney was sentenced to 2.5 to 10 years in prison for alleged election fraud and Gov. Don Siegelman was denied his freedom while waiting for his appeal hearing on January 13th.

Ben Ptashnik and Andrea Miller speak with activists and supporters of Rev. Edward Pinkney and former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman.

This Christmas Reverend Pinkney will not be home with his family. He has been sentenced for up to 10 years in Prison on trumped up political charges because he has stood up to the 1% against the Whirlpool Corporation in Benton Harbor.

He is in effect a political prisoner. Please stand in solidarity with Rev Pinkney and his wife Dorothy.

Don Siegelman was the extremely popular Democratic Governor of Alabama; there was talk that he could be a contender in the 2004 Presidential primary and stop the Republican takeover of the South. Karl Rove and his operatives knew they had to stop Don Siegelman and they went to extraordinary lengths to destroy his career.
