The invisible wounds of post traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury are on the minds of every military family.   We see mention of PTSD and TBI every day in the news, but we don’t always see the mention of the invisible wounds that are being suffered by our nation’s military kids.

Join us for our discussion about how our military families deal with life after combat and how, despite the challenges, every military child can survive and thrive.

We will be talking about how to deal with all the medical appointments, the challenges, and the obstacles, and how the healthy parent can keep things fun and light in the midst of it all.

Maryann Makekau, an Air Force veteran, and founder of Because Hope Matters, will be joining us to share how we can better deal with the heavy issues of grief, loss, deployment, and life after combat.  Listen in as she tells us about the Choose Hope Program which is launching this month.

We encourage you to listen to our live show and call in with your comments and questions.  We hope you will share your tips so we can all live full and happy lives with our combat veterans.
