Western Region Conference CJJ Part I

This show was recorded at the Western Region Conference for the Coalition for Juvenile Justice.  The theme is “The Continental Divide: What works in the west.  It was truly an inspiring and wonderful event that had representatives from 17 states and also two young men from American Samoa.  It was something that I’m sure a lot of others wish they could have attended but thanks to the wonders of modern technology those of you who could not come can still share in the rich experience here on the Path to Justice.

There is so much to cover this will be  a two-part episode – one tonight followed by another installment tomorrow.

Tonight’s episode will feature Edna Reyes- Wilson, Don Coyhis,  Nancy Gannon Hornberger, a former guest on my show, and an exciting breakout session:  Addressing Co-occurring disorders among juvenile justice involved youth presented by Katie Wells.

There will also be interviews with the youth whose lives have been touched and transformed by the Coalition for Juvenile Justice.  Young people like: Ericka Lucero, Leona Chavez, and Drew Peterman.

 So close your eyes and experience the Western Region Conference as if you were there.
