Loren A. Olson, MD, is a psychiatrist who struggled for some time with his sexuality. After being married for a number of years, having children and becoming established in his chosen career field, Dr. Olson realized that he was a homosexual. His book, Finally Out: Letting Go of Living Straight, is about his own struggle and how others in the over 40 group (on up to post retirement age) are not alone.
Dr. Olson visited with Phil via Skype at the end of April for this special show. What you hear in this edition is the shortened interview to fit the music and time slot requirements of LAvender Hill on KZUM-HD 89.3FM in Lincoln, NE. Listen to live editions of LH every Sunday morning at 11am Central on the radio or online at www.kzum.org.
Read Phil's review of the book.
