Join host Karla Porter, and guests Ariel Rabinovic, SMP/CARIE LINE Advocate, and Charlotte Kitler, SMP Volunteer for Luzerne County, to discuss the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) program in PA.

SMP's empower and assist Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers to prevent, detect, and report health care fraud, errors, and abuse through outreach, counseling, and education. SMPs are grant-funded projects of the federal U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), U.S. Administration for Community Living (ACL).

Resources discussed in this episode can be found at CARIE and Senior Medicare Patrol websites.

PA Independent Living is brought to you by The Arc of Luzerne County. Please consider a donation in support of our work to help improve the quality of life for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and their families.
