A partner at the Pinkney Law Firm, P.A. Mrs. Pinkney-Ferguson was a Florida Fulbright Scholar and a 2001 graduate of Florida State University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology. She successfully earned her Juris Doctorate Degree with Pro Bono Honors from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in 2004. During law school, Mrs. Pinkney-Ferguson received the Public Interest Law Fellowship and made the Dean’s List.

Mrs. Pinkney-Ferguson served as a Staff Attorney for the Broward County Clerk of Court, Domestic Violence Division. During her tenure with the Clerk of Court, she worked side-by-side with the judiciary, making more than 7,000 preliminary and proposed rulings in domestic, repeat, dating and sexual violence cases. Mrs. Pinkney-Ferguson co-authored several published judicial opinions for Judges on the 4th District Court of Appeals in the areas of Criminal and Civil law.

Mrs. Pinkney-Ferguson served as a Program Attorney for the State of Florida Guardian ad Litem Program, handling hundreds of Unified Family Court, Complex Litigation dependency cases involving the Department of Children and Families. Mrs. Pinkney-Ferguson litigated hundreds of Termination of Parental Rights and Dependency cases in the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami-Dade County, FL. She also taught the New Guardian ad Litem Legal Training program and taught at the Statewide Disabilities Law Summit on behalf of the Guardian ad Litem program to  over a hundred Judges and Attorneys. Mrs. Pinkney-Ferguson has also had the pleasure of speaking on a variety of legal panels, including the Florida Bar EASL conference and has taught at several colleges and universities, including Strayer University and ITT College.

In 2015, Mrs. Pinkney-Ferguson was appointed to serve a three year term on the Florida Bar Attorney Grievance Committee and the Florida Bar Statewide Advertising Committee. http://www.pinkneylawfirm.com
