Moving the goal posts!

The protest started due to the treatment of African Americans at the hands of police throughout the nation.  This was after public Mass Street demonstrations were said to be disruptive.  This is when a silent respectful one was started by a National Football League Quarterback by the name of Colin Kaepernick.  He began to sit out the National Anthem. A Veteran suggested that he kneel as a sign of respect so he began kneeling on one knee.

Many tried to make it about not having the right to protest.  They were reintroduced to the 1st Amendment.  They said they didn’t have the right to do it on the job because the 1st Amendment didn’t cover them in the work place so they were shown the NFL contract that did not require them to stand.  Some said that it disrespected the flag as the flag and National anthem required them to stand.  The United Stated Codes were shown where no such requirement existed.  Next it was that they were showing dishonor to the troops.  Military organizations came out and explained that the troops fight and die to up hold the constitution. Now it is that there is a time and place but when is that time and place other than the fictional place in their minds of neverwherey?
